DESIGN AND INSTALLATION SERVICE
We offer a comprehensive design and installation service and work to the exacting standards required to produce the aquarium of your dreams.
And to further help you realise your vision Inland Reefs can provide an exclusive rock work sculpting service. Unique in the UK and Europe this allows for the creation of dynamic, visually stunning rock-scapes for both marine and hard water aquariums. ( see design and aqua-scaping )
With over 15 years specialist aquatic experience we can see the project through from first concept to finished design on time and on budget.
Installations can take one of two forms:
Standard ‘off the shelf’ aquariums:
A full kit for a set price containing pre manufactured aquarium, stand, cabinet and hood and generally including all the equipment, filtration and lights needed to run a successful aquarium.
Sizes range up to a maximum of approximately 6 feet 1.83m in length with a depth of 2.5 feet 0.76m.
A custom bespoke option:
Aquariums can be almost any size, depth or design to suit the clients needs. Custom designed and installed filtration utilising the most cutting edge techniques and equipment available today ensuring fish and coral remain in optimum health. ( see case study )
MAINTENANCE
It is our pleasure to work with you to customise the service programme for your aquarium and animals and find a schedule to suit your needs.
Services can be provided weekly, bi-monthly or monthly and start at £50 per visit + any materials used. ( dependant on location and size and shape of the aquarium )
During service visits we provide:
- Cleaning the acrylic or glass viewing panels,
- Water analysis and modification,
- Cleaning gravel, sand or rock work where needed,
- Service of filtration systems, equipment or electrical appliances,
- Conduct water changes,
- Consultation: advice on everything aquatic,
- Addition of new livestock approved by the client,
- Take care of sick animals and test for harmful organisms,
- Up date of the log book kept for each individual tank showing action taken,
- Provide all products from fish to filtration.

AQUATIC RENOVATION AND UPGRADES
RENOVATION
Even in the best maintained aquaria the day will come when filtration and décor may start to look a little tired and old. This is normal and usually occurs after 5 years + of operation.
In these situations a thorough strip-down of equipment and filters together with a deep clean of the aquarium itself is needed to bring things back to their original pristine condition.
UPGRADES
It is often a sad fact that not all business operate to the required high standards necessary. A client dissatisfied with there maintenance provider can let Inland Reefs ‘sort’ out the problems.
In these situations, depending on the work done thus far upgrades to the aquarium and its systems will need to be made.
This can be just a matter of repairing or adding a few extra pieces of equipment, but in some cases will need to be a total strip down and re-installation.
AQUASCAPING
Often the difference between a good aquarium and a great aquarium is down to the quality of the aquascaping.
InlandReefs can create a stunning display with either natural or synthetic rock or a combination of both ( see aquascaping and design )
This is ideal for fish only aquariums both fresh water and marine, where rockwork is highly visible or for reef aquariums where coral will be attached to the rock structure.
REMOTE COMPUTER MONITORING SYSTEMS
Inland Reefs clients have the option of having our 24 hour computer monitoring system added to their aquarium. We use advanced computers that utilize flow switches, probes and other devices to monitor the life support system on a continual basis.
With the substantial investment of time and money this option is very well suited to the larger or fully managed aquarium system.
The computer monitors temperature, water levels and the power status allowing us to diagnose problems such as malfunctioning water pumps, chillers or heaters, water leaks and power failures.
The computer is wired with a dedicated mobile phone. If there is any sign of trouble, the device will send an alert to Inland Reefs via sms message and by calling our service lab.
This also allows us to make random checks to our clients aquariums without ever having to visit in person. |
